When Creatives Connect, Impact Multiplies
Success never happens alone. Success happens in rooms where ideas are shared. Success happens in conversations that turn into collaborations. Success happens in communities that believe in lifting each other higher. This is the belief at The Kusp, and it’s something we see come to life every day.
Research shows that 66% of young adults see a lack of industry connections as a barrier to building a career in the creative industries (Youth Music, 2023). This stat proves that talent alone isn’t enough without access to the right networks and opportunities. This is exactly the gap The Kusp was built to address.
In the summer of 2025, three members of The Kusp community; Kosmo (Director), Myles (DOP), and Lawrence (Editor) connected at our bi-monthly community meet-up, and turned a casual conversation into something powerful. The trio collaborated on a project for Cpotential, a North London-based charity providing specialist therapies for children and young people with movement disorders.
What they created was more than a video. It was a story with purpose. One that speaks to hope, opportunity, and access: “Don’t lock kids out of their future, keep that door open”.
Through thoughtful direction, impactful cinematography, and intentional editing, the trio, alongside a crew, brought Cpotential's mission to life. Showcasing the importance of accessible therapy and the need for community support. Their project was later selected for The Shiny Creator List, opening even more doors and opportunities for the creatives behind it. What began as a connection at The Kusp meetup turned into real recognition. A powerful showcase of what can happen when talent, opportunity, and community collide.
By intentionally designing spaces that are curated for introverts and accessible for extroverts, The Kusp removes the pressure, exclusivity, and gatekeeping often associated with traditional networking.
Kosmo, Myles, and Lawrence could have crossed paths anywhere but it was The Kusp’s community-driven environment that made connection feel natural, collaboration feel possible, and opportunity feel within reach.

This is the reason why The Kusp exists. Representation matters. Access matters. And networks matter. All of this creates impact that reaches far beyond the screen. For many underrepresented creatives, we all know that the barrier isn’t talent, it’s opportunity. The Kusp bridges that gap by creating spaces where collaboration can grow naturally and where creatives can find the support, resources, and confidence they need to thrive in their craft.
Because when creatives connect, impact multiplies.
